Using the Disk Erasure Admin Page

Welcome, here we will show you how to erase drives remotely using the management console.

We are going to assume you are logged into your WipeQ system on a remote machine through the IP address.

To begin, navigate to the operations menu located on the left-hand panel, then click disk erasure admin.

In this example, there is a particular hardware unit that has five drives connected. You can view various drives and sizes. You can also configure and move around in the top columns as you see fit.

As you can see, they are in a pending status all connected to a T-1650. You will also be able to view your models, as well as serial numbers.

When ready to start, select all, and that will then allow you to click erase.

In the Orders section, you can type in a customer’s order which will inherit the erasure type.

If you need to change the erasure type, you can modify it here.

For employee wiping, you can type in the employee name. If you have a job number or something specific you need to save in the reporting, you can do so in the reference number section.

Lastly, you can add any order notes.

When completed, click submit.

That will start all the jobs and you will notice that all the statuses have changed to running which will show a percentage and a time remaining.

Once completed, you will be able to see what the status updates to. But in general, it will show completed. And in case there is an issue it will fail.
