Mapping Tables Configuration

Here we will show you how to use the mapping tables in WipeQ

Start off by going to the settings tab on the left-hand panel of your dashboard.

Click mapping table. The mapping tables is an interface that will allow you to normalize the data and clean it up according to your company’s standards.

Many times, when you are using auditing tools, the data coming out of the BIOs may not match your exact formatting or specifications.

An example would be Wi-Fi. Under Wi-Fi, you will see all the various values coming in. The left column will indicate what values are being collected in WipeQ.

Let’s say you’re not interested in seeing this full document or title of this item and want to convert it to something more meaningful and easier to understand.

We can say anytime this comes in, convert it to wireless included. Now anytime that value comes in, it will automatically be converted to wireless included.

From all this wireless included, we can select all and copy/paste.  Wireless included will now be the converted value when a laptop is audited and sees this in the reporting and APIs. This is important to do.
